Natural Solutions to Asthma

For those of you who have had to make a late-night trip to the ER because your little son/daughter was struggling to breathe...this is for you. This Question/Answer column regarding asthma was featured in the local Kidding Around Family Resource Guide:

Q: My son has been diagnosed with acute asthma. I am wary of the medications and breathing treatments that have been prescribed him, which may have an adverse effect on his body and even his personality. What options do I have?

A: Your son's first line of defense in fighting asthma is to ensure the nerve supply in the cervical and upper thoracic spine is being fully expressed to the lungs, bronchial tubes and entire respiratory system. Once this gentle, specific and effective treatment has been administered, it will allow the brain to fully communicate without interference. In addition, I would take time to address any food sensitivities that may be causing inflammation. Finally, I will employ needle-free acupuncture therapy to "wake up" poor circulation and sluggish organ function.

Testimonial:
"In March '08, we met Dr. Wayne. Our son Connor underwent a week of treatments and the change in him was amazing. His breathing seemed to get easier and his congestion cleared up. We took him off steroids because he was doing so much better." -Michaela, KS
